Back in spring, my group of friends and I decided to do a craft swap. A swap with no time limits at that! It took my a long time to decide on what to make for my friend Chrystil. I kept changing my mind back and forth, but I eventually decided to go with my first idea.
Chrystil is pretty awesome at sewing and has her own sewing room, so I decided to make her some practical things for her to use, but still pretty :)
She was super happy about it, but I think Hedgie was every one's favourite. I'd like to take credit for it, but I'm not that talented. You can find the pattern HERE.
I mean, how cute is he?
And since fall started and the leaves are bursting with colours here, I was in the mood for some fall crafts as well. So I whipped up some felt acorns for all the girls (and one for myself).
And I stuffed them with cinnamon bark, whole cloves and fennel seeds to make them chai scented. Something we all enjoy :)
So that's what got whipped up and given to my friends about a week ago.
I still have lots going on in my crafty corner though. Two of my girl friends are having birthday parties for their kids within the next two weeks, and I've had some crafty requests for their kids birthday presents. A felt sandwich set, and a space play set. I'm super excited to share the crafty love with their kids, and I'll share with you as they are done.
I also am trying to finish a few WIP's, as I am aiming to get a table at our local farmers market within the next couple weeks. I think I under estimated how many things it can take to fill up a table, but I'll go weather the table will be full or not and see how it goes.
So that's all for now. I've got to go finish making some (felt) bread now, but come back tomorrow, as I'll have a tutorial for you, on how to make the pincushion jar :)
**update** You can find my pincushion jar tutorial HERE.
Happy Monday!
