Amazing friends with a hint of Chai.

Yesterday was my 31st trip around the sun. And for the occasion, I only had one request. Spending the day with my friends!

It had been years since I had spent my birthday surrounded by a group of friends, and yesterday, I had my wish.

The girls and I spent the day together while our older kids were at school and my super talented friend Myriam made a Chai cake for the occasion, inspired by my love for henna designs. Purple is also my favourite colour and I love chai spices, so she really hit a home run with this cake!

Everyone loved it!

While we were together, I was also asked to show some of the girls how to knit. I'm no expert, by any means, as all I can do is knit and purl, but it's still something, right? ;) So I taught the girls how to cast on and knit. A couple of them already knew how, and another couple of them I had already taught last year. I love how we all have different skills and can show each other all kinds of new crafts and skills when we get together!

It was a really great day! I was pretty spoiled too, as two other of my friends hand made presents for me. I heart hand made presents! I'll take some pictures and show off more of my friends talents soon ;)

But most of all, I love how they spoil me with their friendship! I'm really a lucky girl to have such amazing friends!
